A warm welcome to
the
Bedford Congress Hall Corps
of
The Salvation Army
Bedford Congress Hall is part of The Salvation
Army - an international and distinctive part of the
universal Christian Church - at work in 115
countries, with more than 1.1 million members and
using 175 languages in its worldwide work.
The message and lifestyle we advocate is based on Biblical
teaching.
Bedford Congress Hall has been established since 1888 and our mission is to make known the
good news about Jesus Christ and to try to reflect His
love and kindness in our lives - summed up perfectly in
this typically Salvation Army song.
Alongside this primary aim, we seek to show
practical concern and care for the needs of people and
gladly embrace, value and celebrate diversity of race,
creed, status, colour, gender and age.
You don't have
to be a Salvationist to attend Army meetings...like all
church services we're open to all. And don't think
we all wear uniform; we don't!
Give it a try; you never know!
If you're a little apprehensive about coming to
a Salvation Army hall for the first time there's an easy
way to get a flavour of a Salvation Army service. Just
come down to the Embankment any Sunday afternoon around
4.45pm from June to September and listen to
one of our open-air meetings.
In this way you don't have to do anything but stand, or sit,
and listen to what is happening. As well as lively songs and
martial music you'll hear an uplifting
message from the Bible that may well help you during the
week - then you'll be ready to take the next step; to come
and enjoy one of our services at Bedford Congress Hall.
