Bedford Congress Hall Young People's Band
First formed in 1912 and known locally as
the junior band or YP band the Bedford Congress Hall
Young People's Band comprises boys and girls aged from 7
to 18 and often takes part in Sunday evening
meetings.
The Young People's Band repertoire includes
traditional marches, selections and some modern swing
numbers.
The aim of the Young People's Band is to help youngsters
learn to play musical instruments and to use their talents
and
musical abilities to praise Jesus Christ and ultimately become
effective adult members of The Salvation Army.If you have
children who are keen to learn a brass instrument please bring
them along on Tuesday evening at 7.00pm...they'll learn how to
play and how God can be an influence in their young
lives.
