Kids Alive Club

Safe and Sound - Protecting Our Young People 
Kids Alive Club, part of our Youth and Children programme, meets every Tuesday afternoon from 4.00pm to 5.15pm at The Salvation Army Hall at the junction of Kennedy Road and Elstow Road in Elstow. 

Catering especially for the age group 6 to 11 years the Kids Alive Club is an important part of the Youth and Children initiative at Bedford Congress Hall.

Kids Alive is a new club for children aged 6 - 11 years and it is designed to be attended strtaight after school and can include an after school snack between 3.30 - 4.00pm.

The Kids Alive Club activities are lively and interactive and start at 4.00pm until 5.15pm when parents are asked to pick up. Registration is free for the first two visits and thereafter children are asked to contribute a subscription of just £1 each week. The money ensures that we are always able to provide excellent resources and activities for all who attend.

There is a free weekly Kids Alive magazine each week when activities include games, challenges, team work, fun Christian teaching and, of course, a tuck shop. 

The Kids Alive Club is staffed by Gary & Lorraine Chaundy who are always willing to lend a sympathetic ear to anyone who is worried about any problem they may have...and, of course, all our club activities follow the "Safe and Sound" guidance which puts into practice the Home Office Code of Practice - Safe from Harm". 

Bedford Congress Hall Kids Club leaders and everyone working with young people at our church have completed "Safe and Sound" training and are checked with the Criminal Records Bureau.

Kids Alive Club is not specifically for Salvation Army youngsters, in fact, the vast majority of Kids Alive Club members have had no previous contact with The Salvation Army. So, if you're at a loose end...or just looking to meet new friends you are assured of a great welcome at the Kids Alive Club.

And don't forget...everybody is welcome - so why not give it a go? You'll certainly enjoy the experience.
